Well, interesting it was. Started off at the Horse Creek Run. It was 11:30, about 50 degrees and the water was about 46 degrees. The night before's snow was just about gone when the caddis started coming off the water. They were grayish size 16-18. There were hundreds of them. Not a fish to be seen. A short time later we headed up the road a bit to the "Wagon Tracks"?. No caddis to be seen(did see just a couple of mayflies which could have been Blue Quills?), but my buddy Mike did catch a nice wild Rainbow. He said the water was a bit high, but it was clear and beautiful. Good luck this weekend guys. |
