| Fishing the Dropper I've never been one to fish a dropper until recently. Many times when fishing a small dropper such as a midge or a small nymph, the fish will attack the dropper and it looks like he's actually taking my dry fly of the top. That's when I set my hook. I love when that happens because of all the commotion it causes on the top. If fish are actively rising, I stick with a standard dry fly, but if they're very sporadic, on comes the dropper. Very entertaining. |
