| Terrestrials I spent yesterday following someone's advice for the Catskills after these floods. There are few bugs, but terrestrials are fishing really well. Okay, so I tied on some ants, beetles and a cricket at different times of the day yesterday and came up empty. So, I need some help. Ants and beetles I both observed in the stream yesterday (no other bugs). However, they only action I had all day was on a wuff pattern. I did have a lot of fun w/ the cricket parachute that I bought. But nothing seemed interested. So, how do you fish these little guys? How do you see your little ant? Do they only work around stream banks w/ brush or under cuts? Do they have to float on top or just under the surface? What if I didn't put any floatant on my bugs? I worked mine cross currant. Any other ways? |
