Andy.B(Biggest fish at the gorge)

Hey Andy i was browsing through the archive on Njtrout and came across a post" what's your biggest fish caught on a fly" and came across your post was happy to see i wasn't the only one who has caught a monster out of there.I was wondering if you can tell me what part of the Gorge did you catch that 23" brown?Last year i got 3 fish out of there which one was 18",20 and the biggest was 22-24" and they were all Browns.I 've also know a few guys who landed some lunkers and ran into a fellow who said that he watched someone pull out a 30" inch brown last year in the big pool in the N.End.That same pool holds a number of big fish and i hooked into another fish about 21" but lost him.The funny thing about the whole thing is when everyone heard i caught a fish that size everyone was talking s%@t like" what are you smoking,he's a liar etc.I guess we have something in common! We've fished the right holes,at the time with the right fly, people really don't know the large amount of deep holes there and nice runs that are hiden away and the only way to get back there is to wade and fish it hard. For the most part i'm sure most people probably fished the same areas but without the same experience so they asume that there's no big fish in there. The 20" Brown came out a small plunge pool about 7 feet wide and 3-4 feet deep and 9 feet long, put it like this! You wouldn't think he was in there. Now i want to compare where i caught my fish to where you caught yours cause he was a holdover and might of been the same fish you caught and released the year before..The one i got came out a deep pool at least 7-9 feet deep, about 20 feet long and about 20 feet wide and the pool has a large rock in it and it's not the slack pool. It's in the beginning of the Gorge not far past the sign.By the way the Brown was a male and had a hooked jaw.
