Another Pa Spring Creek Report

After seeing NjFred's report and having the same sights yesterday as if i were there besides him, I decided to give this report. Yesterday i saw quite a few BWO'S coming off but not in good numbers. Midges were all over the place as always and some Caddis were coming off here and there as well. After seeing the Olives, I decided to try an emerger with a bb shot and what do you know i got a few. Then i decided to tie on an Olive floating Nymph and the fish were all over it. For the most part Midging is my techique on any water with risers and i did quite well yesterday on them. However, I decided to go back for another outting and today was a whole different story! Man I'm sure you guys would of loved to be there! I got there at 8 A.M and it was cool and kinda cloudy. I noticed alot of Midges on the water and fish were already on them! I walked a bit and went to a beautiful pool and i was the only angler there! I tied on a Black Midge Emerger size 30 and right away got a few and lost some. After fishing a bit i noticed there were 3 fish rising to Midges and it was now 10-10:30 A.M and then i saw an Olive. I didn't think nothing of it from yesterdays outting because i didn't see fish rising to the naturals so i blew it off and stood with the Midge. A couple of minutes later i feel something crawling on me so i did a quick swap and it was another olive. Now while watching the risers i kept seeing Olives and I stopped fishing for about 10 minutes just to lay back and see the hatch. The pool came alive right before my eyes! That same pool with 3 risers had at least 10-20 risers now and they were on the BWO'S. I switched to a size 20 BWO Dun and first cast a fish smashed it! Speaking of smashing, the pool looked like someone was throwing rocks into it from all the fish rising! During the hatch i cleaned up and had a ball! I have yet to have a day like this there since I started fishing there, and as soon as the sun came back it was like the BWO'S shyed alway! The hatch was for about 1-2 hours at the most but the fish really keyed in on them. After that, the sun came out and it was warm and the Olives were coming off here and the but not like they were earlier.
