How often I've read here, and in some brochures, about 'fish kills' on the Delawares. Complaints about them usually show up when the flows get low and the summer heat increases the water temps. Funny thing has always been that the only 'proof' of any such event was a story by someone who saw a dead fish or a photo of a dead fish. Not once has there been any sure way to tell if these fish died of anything other than a predator that didn't finish the job, old age, a natural accident, or a poor release by a fisherman. Not once has a photo or scientific evidence identified anything. At least on the Delaware rivers.
Unfortunately, a river in PA did suffer a 'fish kill'. Take a look and see the result.
