tying nights / get together

I had an idea and would like to get some feedback to gauge interest. Who would be interested in a regular get together for sitting down and tying, chatting, comparing tackle, maybe rod building discussions or demonstrations and just plain chewing the fly-fishing fat?

I was thinking about approaching the owner of the Orvis shop up my way to see if he would let me/us use his shop as the gathering place say one night a month or twice a month...whatever. I suspect he'd be willing since after all, it would get people in his shop. He's got a nice area in the back of the store with a fairly large table for tying and such. Perhaps we could even make it a rotating event if anyone else knows of a shop near them that would be willing to host our get together some nights. We could keep it to an hour, maybe two at most.

Opinions? Suggestions?
