South Branch River Report.

With all of the rain we've had, I would have thought that the South Branch would have been high and muddy. The conditions were quite the opposite though. Perfect levels and slightly off color.

I had an hour to spare today, so I thought I'd wet a line during that time. Not 1 fish was caught. I ran into a few other anglers who also claimed no luck. I thought they stocked the river on Friday, but there were no signs of a stocked fish anywhere.

I did see something very much out of the ordinary today, 2 kayaker's floating down the river. That's right, 2 of em. I got a kick out of that. They stopped for a second to ask how the fishing was. Then they mentioned that the water was at least 2 feet higher on Saturday. I would imagine the fish were spread out pretty good. Maybe next week will yield better results... It doesn't matter for me though, I won't be around.

On a brighter note, I was thinking of taking my 4 1/2yr old daughter fly fishing tomorrow afternoon for a few hours. The Little Lehigh river would be a great place for her to learn.
