I jumped in with both feet and no experience with fly rod. took a beginers course at Tall Timbers in Pittsburg NH fished the conneticut river twice. I caught a few nice rainbows and managed to save my fly from a monster Brook Trout in a deep pool. I saw the beast coming and jerked that fly out of the way fast.
My question, my brother and I are going to fish lake Ternay in August 2005 and I have no idea what to expect. If anyone has had any experience could you please give me some hints. What weight rod, type of line , leader size and lenght, fly patterns, presentation methods help !! I can only bring 60 pounds of gear for ten days.
Oh yes Lake Ternay is 100miles north of Labrador City in quebec No roads for 75 miles. If I forget someting too bad for me
