trailer hooks on streamers
I love fishing streamers in the morning and get alot of hits ,but have a really poor hookup rate. i have tried everything from keeping the rod tip to the water, shortening the tails, and letting the fish hook himself. Larry at West branch anglers recommended a trailor hook and was wondering how you guys tie it on your streamer if u use one. Do u tie it in on the back of the shank or from the eye. How heavy is the tippit/mono that you use to tie the hook in. How big should the hook be for the trailor. Some may think this is un sporting i know but I have lost to many monsters on missed hook sets including a monster last summer at dawn (25+). Thanks for the help
