    Murphy’ laws of fly fishing.

I liked the oxymoron post so I decided to take to the next level.

Murphy's 1st law “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.”

I think we can have so fun posting Murphy’s laws of fly fishing

Here are a few to start

If the is a single twig in the vicinity of you. Your leader will catch it.

If you have only one fly that matches that hatch. You will drop in the river before you are able to tie it on.

If your low on tippet, You will burn up what little you have remaining.

If you tie with the hook upside down, you will stab yourself.

If you dont duck, chuck will hit you.

If you tie flies, You will be a hoarder.

Casting repeatedly to a fish, and realizing you aren't sure on which cast your fly slipped it's knot.......

Hell no and it aint over now.......

    Your fly slipped its knot?

    On a cast?

You lose a lot of flies that way, skippy?

If you cast onto a branch that you can easily walk over to, then stay where you are; the tippet will unravel with a light pull.

But if you cast to a branch you can't reach, you'll create a knot strong enough to suspend a small appliance.

Being on the sticks all day, and making sure every fly's barb is pinched......until the douche in the back sticks you in the neck.

Why is it when you get caught in a tree or stuck on the bottom your leader knots hold with the strength of steel. However, when you hook that exceptional fish they seem to break like butter.

Leave home without a spare change of clothes and you will fall in head first within minutes of arriving at the river. And it will be very cold that day.

If you dont check your leader and tippet, you will lose the best fish of the day.
