The best way I know to help is to tell you how your flies perform on the water.
Send me a pm.
I'll forward you my mailing address.
You send me a selection of flies.
At least 4, otherwise I can't really help you out much with your tying...
I will fish them and get back to you with an honest evaluation.
How can you evaluate anyone’s flies when all that your flies do is decorate trees?
If you judge them on the behavior of your files you would have to:
Give an A for durability if the fly unravels during the first cast.
Give an A for buoyancy if the dry fly immediately submerges upon touching the water.
Give an A for performance if the fly the fly consistently catches inanimate objects such as sticks, rocks, your waders anything but fish.
Give an A for artistic creativity if the fly makes the tree appear to be a modern work of art.
