 Tippet for tough trout Ok, let's say you are in a tail out of a long flat. Big old hog is rising in thin water. You have on a 12' leader tapered to 5x or maybe 6x. How long a tippet do you add on? How long a leader can you reasonably turn over? Feel free to add any other helpful tippet advice. The upper WB kicked my but last night, but there were plenty of targets. I hooked a real nice one and had him on for 5 minutes, 7x tippet, size 18 comparadun sulfur. He broke me off (damn). That's it, but there was no shortage of fish, just tough. Damn, it was fun and frustrating. As Arnold would say "I'll be back" OMC
