This photo is from opening day 1978. That's the old Grundyke Dam that we took down. I was 14 years old. I was fishing below the dam. Check out the boat! The pond was deeper back then. We don't get crowds like that on opening day anymore. I count around 50 ! Some think that's a good thing, not me. The crowds never lasted all that long and think of all the license sales lost. Also, much less recruitment of new fishermen. Who will be fishing or care about cold, clean water in a generation?
