And I will never forget that look on her face the first time a nice brown rose to her dry fly! She didn't hook up, in fact I think she missed that fish a second or third time, but her determination to catch her first dry fly trout left me knowing you were screwed for life. Good luck getting your gear back. And I know she's hooked, pun intended...

I like introducing newbies to the FF world and I do a lot of that. I think some of it comes from me having to learn like so many of us "old timers" by the school of hard knocks and I want to make it easier for new anglers to learn. I understand FF in the early days was even a more tight-lipped society, information was seldom shared. Now a few hours on the internet and you can pick up what some of us took years to learn. That alone should help promote our sport for generations to come.
