Internet sales vs. fly shops

Just a word about internet sales. Has our sport come down to saving a buck at the expense of helping to put the fly shops out of business. I consider a local fly shop part of our sport. They supply free information on streams and conditions, run all kind of events from seminars to trips are stewards of the streams and are a good place to bull shit with fellow fisherman. I do not support internet sales to save a few bucks, I support my local fly shops as I consider them part of the sport. I am in sales in a different profession and I have to tell you, the new generation of people dont give a rats ass about service, its all about saving a buck by buying on the net, it really sucks. How do others feel about this ? By not shopping on the net I mean the big companies like LL Bean, Cabellas ect., I realize most shops sell on the net also, my point is supporting the local shops.
