Not Ranked : 0 4th Stage of Flyfishing? I've often heard that a flyfisherman progresses through 3 sets of goals:
1) Catch as many trout as possible.
2) Catch the largest trout possible.
3) Catch the most difficult trout possible.
I'm starting to find that for me after goal 3) exists a 4th goal:
4) targeting unpressured trout with bushy attractor dries.
There is something about hiking a little further, exploring unpublicized streams on your own, and catching trout on a #12 Elk Hair Caddis that is very satisfying . . . even more satisfying than catching a difficult tailwater brown on a #20 CDC Crippled Whatever.
Just curious if anybody else has found this to be the case.
