Who said the freaks come out at night?

While finishing up my morning run to Hale Eddy, this guy approaches me and ask's if I would mind if he bath's in the water. I laughed and told him to be my guest. I also let him know that the water temp was only 48! He told me he was a member of the polar bear club then completely submerged himself from head to toe. This guy started swimming like a dolphin after a few minutes! He told me that he was doing "Hydrotherapy." Hydrotherapy my ass... I think he meant to say he was trying to catch a case of Hypothermia and had the two terms mixed up.

Anyway, he was a nice guy who gave me a little history on this part of the river. He mentioned that they used to pull tons of trash out of there, including cars! wow. This part of the river is now beautiful!
