  Not Ranked : 0 The Scent of a River Without question the smell of something can trigger many memories, some good some just awful. Certain aromas can remind me of elementary school, gardening, ex girlfriends, and most importantly, fishing. My favorite river smell is from the lower Boulder River in south central Montana, kind of a mix of cottonwoods and fertilizer. I really disliked the odor coming from the lower Musconetcong 2 months ago after a diesel spill in Bloomsbury, partly because of the diesel, and also because I was skunked. What river stank do you like? Some great rivers are just plain stinky.   |
