Just looking at that bridge and the fishing experience that goes along with it....
You're 48 yards out from the flag, a 63 lob wedge, you want it to go up and down, the ball sticks 12 feet behind the flag and back rolls down 9 feet.
The steely smile really doesn't show the excitement.
Looking at that bridge, the ball rolled another 3 feet.
The bridge of my youth I don't have a picture of. It is the Village Bridge, a covered bridge over the Mad River in Waitsfield, VT. I witnessed my first spinner fall in the pool above that bridge and have many fond memories of summer fishing in that river near our old ski house.

Spent many a year skiing the mad river and sugarbush north and south. Our ski lodge was off of Bragg's Hill Road. Moose Lips, The Den,....towing a porsche over The Gap and telling the owner that what he paid for his porsche, he could have bought two of my 4-Runner.
