| Trout jumping! What posseses a trout to leap completely out of the water? Lately, I've seen some amazing jumps... I've seen little ones do the "straight up" jump... I've seen larger ones do the "sideways bending - tail slapping" jump and just yesterday, I saw the "Dukes of Hazard's" jump by a monsta! It would be awesome to get these jumps on film. Is there a bait or fly or something that you can put on the water to instigate the trout to jump? (other than a hook in their mouth? )With a still camera, I'd imagine you'd have to be very fast with the focus, unless you can see the trout and see the bait coming down stream - this could give you a good point of reference to be aiming... Otherwise, I guess a good digital camcorder setup stream side might have the best luck of getting the jumps on film. The ultimatte would be a full frame shot with a still camera. Any tips on how to accomplish??? |
