| Another West Branch Report Went up to the WB on Monday of this week, since it was supposed to be overcast with showers. By noon the clouds had burned off, and it was mainly sunny with a few clouds the rest of the day. Fished the gamelands from 1PM to 6PM...maybe a few dozen sulphurs, and a few sporadic risers..very disappointing. There were about six of us in the pool, and there were no hookups. Given the sparse hatch, I was not surprised that there was no spinnner fall. Tuesday I went to the EB, and that river was even deader...Saw only two other fishermen the entire day...guess everybody else knew what we didn't.. I have been either really unlucky, or the hatches this year just have not been up to what they have been the last five years.. OM  |
