Not Ranked : 0 Re: De-barbing hooks I debarb my hooks all the time, mainly to do less damage to the fish, but the side benefits include doing less damage to yourself or your fishing buddy, and also they come out more easily when you hook your clothing. I don't debarb my hooks when I tie them, I pinch them down when I tie the fly on the tippet. The reason for that is, my fly boxes (the ones that are not C&F) are foam and the hooks fall out too easily without barbs. |
