I think I ask this every season.. are there any whitefly experts out there (besides the trout)?
The emergence just started, and I'm baffled as to what the triggering characteristic is. I'm not talking about the full blown super hatch where you cannot compete with a thousand naturals on the water. I'm talking about the beginning emergence where the rises are just starting.
Of the few I've caught...
I've taken stomach samples & the whitefly body looks very translucent.. not WHITE. So, I'm going to tie up some nymphs & emergers using a clear floss instead of traditional white to see if it makes a diff.
Anybody got any thoughts on it? |
