| Delaware Releases this Spring Hi Guys, One thing to keep in mind about flows. The spill mitigation rules are in place and the reservoirs will stop spilling this week. Some rain coming tonight that may keep them spilling for a couple of days. If the spill stops, the release will also go down. We could be headed for a release of 45 on the West Branch in the next few days. The release is currently 999 cfs. The spill is only 143 cfs. Currently revision 7 is still in operation. This means a minimum release of only 45 cfs and a minimum FLOW of 225 at Hale Eddy. The vote for FFMP which was scheduled for next week has been delayed until July. Rev 7 will probably be extended until some form of FFMP is approved. Too bad that the worst part of Rev 7 for the river habitat tends to be the last part of May and the month of June. Things dry up, but not enough to get Montague releases started. CP2 would have been nice to see starting in a month with a minimum release of 350 cfs on the West Branch. Jim |
