Hi everyone. My name's Kyle, and I live in Seattle. My girlfriend is from Jersey City, and she's probably going to end up in grad school either at NYU or CUNY, so I'll get to spend at least two years exploring the Northeast's fishing opportunities. I grew up in Montana catching browns and bows in the Bighorn, Yellowstone, and Madison rivers, and I've also been blessed with the great salmon, cutthroat, and steelhead fishing in the Puget Sound area. I'm assuming that fishing in New York is completely different in a good way...like stripers and big brook trout, and lake-run browns, right?
Anyone heading out here for a steelhead/salmon/trout trip should check out
Washington Fly Fishing, it's quite similar to this site and also has lots of Montana/Wyoming/Idaho/Oregon/Utah/Colorado info if you look for it.
