On my way to bed tonight, I went to check out the bugs in my tank. Not just bugs, but Mayfly nymphs. I haven't ID'd them yet because I didn't want to disturb them too much by taking them in and out of the tank.
I opened the lid and noticed something a bit peculiar. It was a nymph schuck. Then on the other side of the tank, there it was, lying on its side 1/2 dead. Damn, I missed it and it's now lying on it's side. Hmph.
Off to identifying this critter. I carefully removed him from the water to make sure I didn't break anything off. The parts on these things are very fragile. I figured it to be Dorothea (Sulphur / Pale Evening Dun) right off the bat, and I believe I hit the nail right on the head, it's a Dorothea.
I've now put some floating container lids into my tank. I'm hopeful that the next one(s) to hatch will .... You're not going to believe this, but I just looked up and another one just hatched. Looks like a Grey Fox (Stenonema Fuscum).
Now how bout that... We got a 2 for 1 day.

I'll post these pics up for now being that I've been in awe for the past hour or so looking at this thing roaming around the tank. I'm just happy I was able to get a few to hatch!
