All... I will be pruning user accounts which meet the following credentials:

• Postcount of 3 or less who have not logged in within the past 365 days
• Postcount of 0 who have not logged in within the past 60 days
• Users who have not replied to the registration confirmation email

Due to the influx of bogus users who register on this site (at least 4 per day) we will need to keep track of real vs. bogus accounts. These accounts fill the data base and increase the size of the database. This of course costs money and time.

That said, there are a few items to note. If you've registered on this site, you must reply to the confirmation email sent to you. This confirms that you're a real person. You must also make at least 1 valid on-topic post. This ensures that you're not a 'bot' who is planting an account to use at a later date (we've had quite a few of them recently (quite slick if I might add)).

If you're a lurker who has an account here and would like to keep that account, I suggest logging in with it. This will update the your last loggin time and will bypass the above conditions.

If you know of someone who has an account here but hasn't used it in a while, please let him/her know that if they don't log in, their account may be deleted.

If you find that your account was removed, you can always re-register.

Sorry I have to take these actions, but it's a real pain in the ass trying to keep fake users at bay.

Ohhhhh... One more thing... Each user is entitled to 1 account and if need be, you can have an alter-ego, but please limit it to that; when we switched hosts, our hosting plan more than doubled in price. Thanks for your understanding.
