I headed out for the Allentown area after hitting up the local flyshop and shooting the $hit with a few buddies. They told me that I am quite the strange one for venturing out today. I said, yeah and your point is??i
Well anyway, I got to the stream opened the door and I wanted to go home. I thought to myself, how bad could it be? 20-40 mph winds and 5 degree wind chill! I suited up, broke out the handwarmers and away I went. I got the first pool and landed a fish right away. On the next cast, another one. Right now, you're thinkng, he must be warm, he's catching fish. The answer is nothing keeps you warm when it's like today.
I easily had my best day on this stream to date. The fish were feeding quite well and they were in the fast water! It was a great, but cold day. The fishing never slowed up once. From start to finish the action was constant. The only lulls in the action were the breaks after getting my hands wet to properly handle the fish.
Long leader Euro Nymphing was the killer today, and by killer, I might be understating it's succes!
I still have a headache from dealing with all that wind hitting me in the face!

I love this sign!
