Not Ranked : 0 Central PA Since the Salmon River fished so well on Saturday, I needed a dose of reality! I had to go catch some "smaller" stream trout...
I fished Central PA with my friend Mike this past Sunday. He said that he knew where we could get some nice browns and sure enough, he delivered. It was quite cold but we managed to do surprisingly well. I dumped the Euro stuff and used the indicator. The fish are really starting to pool up with the colder weather. We did well using egg patterns, grey and red midges and small olive caddis larva. You had to fish the pools thouroughly, that is, until you found the fish. Once you found them it was "game on." we each landed some very respectable. My two largest were 19 and 21 inches. The weather might be getting colder but the fishing is still pretty damn good!
