My uncle has land in pa and he has a gas lease on it. He has had no problems thus far and the companies have respected his land and done zero damage to it. They even cut some new trails for him that he asked them for.Gas leases can be done properly it's when you getinto selling the mineral rights that things can become a mess. If you sell the mineral rights a company can basicaly strip mine your property and oh well for the land owner.
