Fellow PA anglers. Please read this article and send comments to the paper. Once you read it I believe you will understand the problems exposure like this can bring to this fragile but growing fishery.
Here is the portion that brings concern to me. Naming that place is just going to add to the stress those fish face.
Quote:
After wading for several hundred yards over slippery rocks in the Lehigh River, I hit the jackpot.
Fanned throughout a flat, clear stretch of river in front of me were at least 50 trout. The fish were facing upriver, and I baited my hook with a waxworm and gently let it float down the current. One trout lazily wafted out of the school, took the bait and I set the hook. The fish didn’t fight that hard, nor did the following three that I caught. They all seemed lethargic and it didn’t take long to figure out why the trout congregated at the spot. A few yards above the cold waters of Fawn Run made their way down the mountain and spilled into the warm river. The warm, dry summer had forced the trout into survival mode, and they congregated in the spot to soak up the oxygen-rich cold water from Fawn Run.
