| Rail Road Incident Press clipping. Norfolk Southern cleansup Associated Press, CROSBY, Pa. Norfolk Southern railroad says it has spent more than two (m) million dollars to clean up the Big Fill Run trout stream in northcentral The pristine stream was fouled with 42-thousand gallons of lye last summer when a freight train derailed. The engineer was fired after an investigation showed the train was going 77 miles-an-hour in a 15-mile-an-hour zone. The railroad says it's replaced all the polluted soil, restored the stream banks and even installed equipment to measure groundwater pollution. It's also helping restock the stream with fish.
