Advice on locations to try

My buddy and I would like to do some early season (first weekend in May) flyfishing for trout. We'll be travelling from CT, so we're thinking the Eastern PA/Pokonos and north. Ideal would be to be able to fish the Delaware River and it's more productive tributaries. We appreciate any suggested areas as well as places to stay. Thanks.
