Neversink Gorge

Well, I'm thinking this should be the year that I hike down into the gorge...while my knees are still in good enough shape that I won't have to have a helicopter rescue. Does anyone know where to pick up the trail that leads you down into the gorge?? I'd very much appreciate any input on this subject...like...how far is it, vertical drop, etc..
