After reading this thread I too am interested in a pontoon boat. Whoever started this post it's all your fault.
Anyway I noticed that you don't see many used pontoon boats for sale, and the boats that look to be worth the weight are not inexpensive. While in Ramsey Outdoor Store today I saw an Outcast Pontoon Boat hanging from the rafters that you can rent and try it out before you buy. I don't remember the model# but it looked sturdy, anchor system, diamond plate storage, engine bracket etc.
Not sure what the rental cost is, but it sounds like a good idea before purchasing. I plan on renting this spring to see how I like it.
*Called Ramsey Outdoor to find out rental cost..... they quoted "I believe it's $50 a day"....
