Not Ranked : 0 Culling trout for a purpose If fly fishermen drastically changed their habits in the catskills by throwing the brown and rainbows they catch onto the bank to die, and the state stocked genetically similar brook trout from the surrounding ponds and small creeks. Would we be doing a good thing? Because come this spring, I may start to do just that. In my book it would help give the brookies a chance. There's plenty of habitat in my mtns for there to be an exceptional wild brook trout fishery. And I think you would all agree.
