New York Steelhead/Salmon fishing spot with camping??

Hey guys, i've been doing quite a bit of lurking here and found it very helpful.

A good friend and i have been fishing together here in Chester County, PA for a couple years now and love hooking Trout and Smallies whenever we can. Well, we've decided to take a long weekend and drive up to NY to look for some Salmon or Steelhead. Neither of us have ever been before and have relatively low expectationsa about hooking a monster. We've done a bunch of research and have a list of about 10 rivers and streams we'd like to check out. We're going to drive up there and find a place to camp.

I know this is a fairly secrative thing but i was hoping someone would be willing to recommend a place to fish that has nearby camping (a state park would be great).. We're into roughing it so we just need a place to park the truck and pitch a tent. We'll crash in the truck in a Walmart parking lot if that's what it takes.

If anyone has a place they can recomend, please shoot me a PM or an email (danfishermusic at gmail dot com). Kind of short notice since we're planning on heading up on thursday. If you don't know of any spots with camping, i'd be thrilled with any suggestions on fishing spots and we'll figure out the sleeping arrangements. we're both planning to use fly-rigs and would prefer a wading creek since we don't have a boat.

thanks in advance!!!!
