Fished beaverkill yesterday from about 11 to 330. Little did I know that the weather report would be wrong. It was supposed to be pure clouds. Instead, the sun was flashing in and out, and the storms from the night before made the waters high and muddy. There was no surface action. I'm guessing there was a little around 5 pm actually by the rate the sun worked. I don't think anyone got fish, but if you did, let me know. I tried a lot of wet flies, and mostly nymphs. I saw some kind of yellow mayfly on the river, and I had absoluteley no idea what it was. Otherwise, the flies were absent during these hours. Feel free to talk it up, whether you had a similar/different experience on a river near beaverkill (or on BK).
