Wasn't the Shushan Postmaster created for the Battenkill? I was wondering if there are any old guys, like me, at this forum who might remember the name of the little fly shop that was located on the Battenkill just upstream of the bridge that crossed the river. The shop I'm referring to was on the left hand side of the creek and their was (is) a low head dam just a bit upstream from the back of the shop. I remember going up there in the late 1960's and very early 1970's and the shop owner had bunks upstairs and he'd let guys sleep there for free if you were able to create a rapport with him. Anyone with a good memory? Thanks in advance. I'm sure it wasn't Ralph Enwhistle's shop either.

Ralph DeMille owned the Spring Hole Shop, I nice guy. He could write a book on the Civil War.
