| West Branch of the Delaware River On the way from the Salmon River to my fishing buddy's private club water in PA, I was riding shot gun and with map in hand, we took a side trip. ![]() Onto Rt. 17 East. No-Man's Land, New York. ![]() As the road laid out before us.. I started to feel at easy... no flying monkey's or witches riding broom sticks. We entered the enchanted world of OZ. ![]() Yup... we're not in Jersey any more.... XKE ![]() We were in Delaware County.. where the river... is ![]() Sure was wide like everyone said it would be. The water felt cold. ![]() Fisherman's off street parking. ![]() Saw a few fly fisherman out on the river. ![]() Proof that "AK Was Here..." ![]() Local TU sign.. which if you want to keep fishing access open, is a good idea... ![]() Spoke to the gentleman on the left before they entered the river. At first he was very hesitant to answer any questions.. but after releasing him from a head lock he spilled his guts about the best locations on the river. ![]() Everything was going just fine.. maybe wetting a line here to see what the "Mighty D" had to offer a couple of humble lads from Jersey... Until I read this sign. Now where we were standing, according to the sign it wasn't infected.... but we were heading off to a private PA fishing club. Why take ANY chances. We decided to call it and get back on the road.
