Your favorite stage of fly fishing

When looking back on my fly fishing history I find it hard to point out my favorite point in my fly fishing progession. From the ages of 2 to 10 I was strictly a spin fisherman hoping to get a hit let alone a trout on the local NJ streams known as the musky, paulisnskill, and southbranch. Then things finally clicked. AT 11 years old, I got my first take, in Carins pool on a size 18 ant. I landed him screaming the whole time and throughout that summer caught a dozen trout at best. However, looking back on my experiences, I think that those times where every trout counted and every technique was trusted no matter if it was logical or not was the best times of my life in the flyfishing world. My dad always said that enjoying the process was a major part of flyfishing, however as I walked off the stream on those days with 0-13 hook sets I found his advice hard to take. Now As I've made it to college I've finally comprehended what he was saying. So now I ask those who have been in this game a hell of a lot longer than I have, What has been your favorite stage of flyfishing? The learning curve, getting the art of flyfishing, teaching another the art of flyfishing, or simply just being outdoors no matter what the purpose. At my current point in life, I feel that my biggest satisfaction in flyfishing has been in getting to know my dad on a whole new level and gaining some fly fishing experience along the way. What has been your favorite fly fishing experience?
