need help with finding "beetles"

I have been fishing a certian area over the past few weeks with lots of fish all around but they arent taking any flies I have to offer. I have had little luck with ants and other terrestrials. I think these fish are taking these little beetle looking bugs that I see on the tree's. These bugs are similar to a lady bug but smaller and are solid black color. If anyone has any info on how to get a fly thats close to this bug I would greatly appriciate it.
