Wink Beaverkill / Willow / Delaware

Hi all.

The Beaverkill and Willow have both receded to wading levels. The fishing has been good. The water is clear and looks terrific. Rising fish are here and taking Isonychia's, caddis, bwo, sulphers, and terrestrials. March Browns are still around but probably not the fly of choice. Todays water temp is around 60. Its approximately 70 outside right now and the week looks to be excellent for fishing. This coming weekend as of now looks to be the same as this past weekend with scattered t-storms. Too bad for you weekend warriors!

The West Branch of the Delaware is running perfect. The water temps have been around 56-59 degrees as of lately. Fish are rising everywhere, you should have a good time. The Sulphers (Ephemerella invaria and Ephemerella dorothea) have been consistent night time fly's of choice. The Olives (Baetis divinctus) have been coming off at most times during the day. The main stem is much too high to wade (Dennis your a nut) right now. Don't bother. The water is running at 2500 right now and can look very deceiving for the unsuspecting angler. Don't be ignorant and don't play tough guy. Get a raft or hire a guide to take you down this very productive river. The fishing has been great. Sporadic caddis have also been coming off in various colors shapes and sizes.

As usual (no pun intended) good luck.
