More HYDE problems!! NOT AGAIN!!!!! (Resolved!)

Here we go again, round number two with Hyde! Now granted I have only had the time to send one email, but it was very detailed and explained my problem. In fact, here it is for all of you to see.

To whom it may concern at Hyde;

I am not having any big problems with the trailer, but did want to let you know of one that I ran into before I had to fix it. Driving in the Central New York in the winter caused snow and ice to build behind the tire on top of the wiring for the rear lights. I was having a problem with the ice chunks falling off driving down the road and ripping the wiring right out. I am sure I could have just added a mud flap and have been fine, but I wanted to send you pictures of what we did. We just took thin steel plates and boxed in the wiring area underneath. We then removed the diamond plate step and cut an access hole underneath it. Then we just welded nuts to the underside of the piece below the diamondplate and just screwed them in instead of riveting them again. Just a thought for a trailer that will see some snow.

Onto my problem with the G4 bottom. I had emailed a gentleman a while back letting him know that is was pulling away from the side of the boat. He gave me instructions in an email on how to fix it. I went about fixing it the way he told me. Now, the G4 is seperating all the way around the boat and yesterday while on the river I hit a section of flat rock that pinches in and sometimes jossles the boat. I have hit this section of the river with no problems before. Then yesterday when I pulled the boat out of the water there was about a five inch chunk missing out of the G4 bottom and the fiberglass is all jacked up there. I have sent pictures so you can see what happened. The thing that gets me, is I have hit harder in other spots and never had this happen. I believe it is because the G4 is starting to seperate from the boat. Is this normal?? What do I need to do to fix this, and I thought that it wasn't supposed to do this. This boat is only an 07 and this is the first year it has been on the river since I was over seas last year.

Here are the pictures I included in my email.

Now, tell me why they can post my testimonial on their website the day after I email it to them, but they can't respond to me when I have a small complaint. Ok a very BIG complaint. Here is a direct quote from their website about the G4 bottom.

G4

One of the greatest advancements in drift boat technology. G4 is the ultimate in bottom protection for fiberglass drift boats. The super slick polycarbonate material will eliminate the need for bottom maintenance and repair. Ideal for treacherous rivers.
G4 has to be picked up and installed in Idaho Falls, ID.

Hmm...That's odd since there is a chunk missing from mine! I didn't even hit a big rock, it actually happened while going over one of the flat slabs of slate in the river. I know this because it was the only time that day that it hit hard. So much for the video of them sending it careening down a rocky hillside. I guess the rocks out west must be a little softer.

Hopefully all this gets resolved in a peaceful manner and I can get back to running sections of the river that are "treacherous".
