Thread: Beautiboo rod with pics

Someone asked me to appraise this rod for him. It is genuine Tonkin Cane (says so right on the rod).

One of the ferrules pop nicely, comes with extra tip and, check out the reel seat; You won't find another like it.

So what is the monetary value of this fine piece of fly fishing history?

25 bucks and that's pushing it.
Not much of a market for those HI rods, but they weren't that bad,

heddon used that same real seat, but their tapers were better.
the heddon of the same vintage could go for 400 to 500

Really? I have a heddon black beauty in excellent condition, two tip nice and straight original bag and case. Love to sell it so i can put itvtowards a good boo rod

I wonder how much the disposal fee is?

Looks nice in those last pictures DC, but where do you attach the spinner reel on?

Is that a designer table cloth?

DC sews them in his spare time to help keep N.E.F.F. afloat.

Needle and thread are not cheap you know, and his eye sight isn't what it use to be.

That is why when someone sneaks around selling flies or dubbing.. he gets kinda upset.
