Has anyone fished a hexagraph fly rod?
Has anyone fished a hexagraph fly rod?
Doubletaper,
Hi i have hexagraph that was built for Cold Spring Anglers in Carlisle ,Pa.it is a great rod its a 7'6" 4/5 wt two piece. It's a medium fast type rod. I use it almost exclusively for fishing dries on mountain streams, also it swings soft hackles pretty darn good as well. It's also a beautiful rod, have had no problems with it at all.Yea sure it isn't bamboo but i think if you try one you might just buy one. i was skeptical at first till i cast this rod then when i fished it i was glad i bought it. i have a a small Precision reel ( former New Jersey Reel manufacturer)with a 4 wt Rio Selective Troutline on it and sometimes i switch the line to a Rio Windcutter 4 wt,other times i use my Ross San Miguel with either a Rio Selective Trout 5wt or Rio Windcutter 5 wt.it is my main rod for smaller waters and it handles wind and bushy {stone dries }as well.
