Thanks BRK TRT!!!

BRK TRT,

I'd like to publically thank you for my fishing success yesterday.

Here's the story. I've been reading BRK TRT's small stream brookie and brownie fishing reports ever since I joined NEFF and wondered what he uses in those fast little CT streams. I love to fish small turbulant fast water streams as he does and have the hardest time keeping my flys floating for more than 2-3 drifts. This spring was no different, so I PMed BRK TRT and asked if he would share his pattern with me. He PMed me back for my address. Two weeks later I received a package with his pattern for the Ausable Bomber along with 8 flys (which I was not expecting) to try out. As you can imagine I was excited to try them out. So I took the afternoon off and headed for the mountains. Third cast and I caught the pictured little bow. You can see the bomber in it's mouth. Then another and another. The bomber was still floating. These flys are a great fast water pattern. Neat thing about them, when they get rolled into a seam and sucked under, they pop back up shortly there after. I've been fishing this stream for years and was told it had wild brownies in it, but had never caught one for myself until now. It was about 6" and camera shy. This fly is a must have for my flybox now. If you like fishing fast water, I'd recommend sending BRK TRT a PM.

Thanks again,
Cdog
