Got word from my brother who was in Maine last weekend (and this, but no report as of tonight) that other than Moosehead Lake, the smaller lakes are clear of ice.

LLS season is not too far off.

I learned my lesson last year... I still have plenty of Carrie Stevens streamers, but also a good supply of pheasant tail in sizes 10-14.

If I had won that recent name that streamer fly contest, I would have fished it till the threads wore off. But I didn't win! So I quit.

Long live PHEASANT TAIL flies!

As always, a very poor, poor loser in anything, in sports or naming some dumb old fly that really doesn't matter to anyone but the winner, which by the way I didn't win. So who cares, I DON"T. See if I ever enter your contest ever again BRK TRT.
