august fishing

I will be in Patten Me. for a week in August and then going to the coast by Millbridge for a week. What kind of fishing can I do in those areas? Will there be stripers at the coast? I am not opposed to throwing bait or metal as I will also have my 80 yr father and 5 yr son w/ me.
